Second______Green House Effect Farming
Ⅰ.What are the greenhouse gases emitted from food production?
In a nutshell, there are two major greenhouse gases that will heat up the earth, methane (CH sub) and nitrous oxide (N 2 O). In fact, they're both more potent greenhouse gases than CO 2. Most of these gases are related to food production, and methane is produced by ruminant animals (such as cattle) for gastrointestinal fermentation and respiration, rice planting, landfill and fertilizer.
II.Will global warming make these foods disappear?
Climate change is changing the world we live in. Other bad weather events such as floods and droughts have been frequent, forcing many animals to leave their original habitats and even face extinction. If you are too far away from these sounds, then the news is likely to bring you to ten thousand crit - because of global warming, some of your favorite food is likely to disappear.
Apple
"Even if tomorrow is the end of the world, I will plant my apple trees," Martin Luther King Jr. said. But he probably didn't think that even if the end of the world hadn't come, we might never have been able to plant an apple tree again. A temperate fruit such as apple would have to undergo a period of winter to produce a decent harvest.
Beer

The fact that beer is also a victim of climate change is a depressing fact. As water resources are reduced by climate change, the availability of water supplies for brewers is increasingly difficult to achieve. Seafood
sea food
One of the great effects of warming is ocean acidification. As oceans absorb more and more of the carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, the oceans acidify, making it difficult for many Marine species such as lobsters, oysters, scallops, and salmon to survive.

Chocolate
There are about a billion people in the world who can't live without chocolate every day. However, due to the evil greenhouse effect, the production of cocoa beans is declining. Right now, the optimum latitude for cacao cultivation is 100 to 250 meters above sea level. "It is up to 450 to 500 meters above sea level to grow the cacao tree. This has not only affected the sales of chocolate in the future, but also has been a huge blow for many farmers who depend on cocoa for their living."(CBC NEWS)
Coffee

Like chocolate, coffee is a necessity for many people. In the future, however, people may have to rely on other drinks to perk up. In recent years, a plant fungus known as "coffee rust" has hit Central America, affecting coffee yields and the local economy. Experts believe that the spread of "coffee rust" and the rise in temperature caused by climate change will not be enough.
I'm interesting this topic, now Green house gas is problem by global worming. Most people and animals produce green house gas(like cow).
ReplyDeleteHi jim, I am Ana. I am really impressed by all of the things you have shown in your blogs. I actually did not know that apples where suffering global worming due the produce of green houses gas, nor the cocoa and coffee.
